New Music - Santigold "Kicking Down Doors"

I thought the beat was gonna go harder, but I still think it knocks. It's totally what I would expect from Santigold. M.I.A makes herself standout, but Santigold really does put out some good stuff without all the extra.

Foreign Friday - Kimbra "90s Music"

Kimbra has always been a little different, and I love her for that. She recently released the video for her new track "90s Music." People who know her from Gotye's hit "Somebody I Used To Know," will not even recognize her in this.

Foreign Friday - Elizaveta "Sorry"

I loooove So You Think You Can Dance, and Elizaveta used two of season 10 dancers, Malece Miller and Nico Greetham, in her music video. Oh and the song is good too, haha. Kind of Regina Spektor meets Sara Bareiles.

Foreign Friday - Olamide ft. Wale "Make Us Proud"

Origin: Nigeria
It definitely has a bump this during the summer beat, but Olamide's voice sounds disjointed to me. Perhaps my yankee ears are just over-thinking it, haha.

Throwback Thursday - Reba McEntire "Fancy"

Since the CMT Awards were last night, here is one of country's biggest stars biggest hits. This is actual a cover of Bobbie Gentry, which is almost completely different. Gentry's version is after the jump.

Throwback Thursday - Ryan Adams "Wonderwall"

I know people think I'm crazy for saying this, but I like his version better than the Oasis version....*waits for gasps and disgusted faces. Perhaps because I love melancholic songs, and the slowed down, depressing nature of his version speaks directly to me.
