The Australian singer-songwriter's, who has opened for Justin Timberlake, voice is somehow unique and plain at the same time. It's not as darkly soulful like Amy Winehouse or Adele, but it isn't as an acquired taste as someone like Duffy. So basically she is a sort of a mix between Lilly Allen and French songstress Camille. As some people still haven't discovered the awesomeness that is Adele, I might take a while before Ms. Wells breaks out in America. If you like what you hear, check out more of her stuff here; including some poetry. And read her thoughts about Justin Timberlake's next album after the jump.
I don’t know what Justin’s going to do next but I reckon he should bring out like a really pulled back live, slow record. That’s what I would say, but I don’t know if that would sell millions and millions of copies, but I would buy it! And I think he should just keep it as real as he can because he’s just a real artist, he’s a great artist, he’s unbelievable. He loves music to the point where you can tell that’s all he does, apart from when he’s acting in movies or whatever, he just IS music, he loves it. It’s really sincere. So I hope whatever album he brings out next is super sincere and not just about meeting girls in a club!
