Local Flavor - Alison Carney ft. Awthentick "Lifetime's The Right Time"

Her performance was shot at Vitamin Water's Uncapped Live. I didn't get a chance to see her there, but the space is pretty cool so I can see how it would have been a great concert. And it looks like she was having fun, which I love to see. You can download her new album Alison Wonderland on her bandcamp page here.

New Music - Alison Carney "Japanese Candy"

You can hear both the natural talent and hard work she puts into her vocals. I would love to see her on a bill with Jill Scott or Erykah Badu.

2011 Best DC Female R&B - Alison Carney

She makes that R&B that I miss; smooth vocals, intimate melody and beat, and heartfelt lyrics. Alison is another artist who honed her craft before releasing hermusic. The classically trained singer song writer has performed with Slum Village, Dwele, fellow DMV artist Raheem Devaughn, and many others. Watch her perform live above, and go here to listen to here EP.
