Cover Wars - Brandy "Magic"

I want to like this more than I do, but her breathy raspy singing style kind of bothers me on this. I love the original Coldplay version, so it's a little bit of an uphill battle. There are certain parts that I like, and I think its a solid effort. Maybe if it wasn't a straight cover, but more of a reimagining. Let me go listen to it again.

Timbaland Thursdays

Timbaland, taking a key from Kanye, declared Thursday to be Timbaland Thursday on Twitter. That's a lot of t's. His latest release, "808," features Brandy, and according to the website, "is a little change of pace." From the poll on the page, it looks like the majority of the people love it. I like it, but I was expecting more Brandy. You can download this and the other Timbaland Thursday releases at www.timbalandthursday.com
