New Music - Chiddy Bang ft. Mac Miller "Heatwave"

If you don't know that this uses a sample you must be extremely young, or perhaps you don't listen to the classics. Either way, it is getting a warm reception; pun not intended. I'm not quite feeling it like I thought I would. Perhaps cause it sounds like a Childish Gambino track. He would have murdered it, but Chiddy Bang and Mac Miller do a good job.

XXL Freshman Class member Mac Miller's debut album, On and On and Beyond, comes out this week. I don't really have much to say about it; I expected much better. Overall the whole album sounds like a lazy 90's summer playlist; non-thought provoking subject matter, chill beats, and a young feel. Like it would be on the soundtrack to "The Wackness," a good movie by the way. Stand out tracks: On and On and In the Air . You can listen to his debut here.

You really can't go wrong with that sample. The Pennsylvania native seems like Asher Roth but less gimmicky and with more talent. Watch his Hard Knock TV interview below, where he talks about his thumbs up movement, Whiz Khalifa, Pharrell and more.
