I know, I know, it came out less than a decade ago. But I'm counting it because they sort of fell off since. I am a big fan of "1,2,3,4," but it didn't seem to catch on. Who knows, maybe they will make a comeback.

Forgot it was Thursday. One of the best songs to come out of the 80's. And Doug E Fresh is still rockin stages like he is in his twenties. On a different note, do you see those dance moves. I try to incorporate most of those when I go dancing. It makes for an interesting night.

Re-Discovery - Matrimony "Obey Your Guns"

I've been slipping on my listening to new bands and music in general, for various reasons. But I'm starting to get back to my former glory. If you don't know Matrimony, they are a southern indie folk-rock band; modern anti-folk according to their bandcamp page.  And they fit right in with the current emergence of folk rock back on the scene, like The Lumineers and Mumford and Sons. New Discovery - Andy Allo

I can't believe I hadn't heard of her before last week. Allo is getting more attention for her work with Prince, but she is a talented artist on her own. She is like a mix of Corinne Bailey Rae and Esperanza Spalding. Keep up with the African songstress here.
