It's Colorful At the Top

Pink Friday, Nicki Minaj's highly anticipated debut album, finally reached #1 on the Hot 200 billboard chart. This is after eleven weeks on the chart, and the album being certified platinum already. Yet another accomplishment for raps reigning queen. Other notable entries, Red's "Until We Have Faces" debuting at #2, and out and proud Ricky Martin's "Musica + Altima + Sexo" debuting at #3. That is higher, much higher than I would have expected.

Over on the Hot 100, also taking the slow creep, Wiz Khalifa's, covered by everyone, "Black and Yellow" finally reaches #1. It took eighteen weeks, but he did it; probably fueled by Steelers fans. Other notable entries, Dr. Dre's "I Need A Doctor," featuring Eminem and new it girl Skylar Gray, debuts at #5. That is pretty high for someone who took a couple decade hiaturs. Also, Chris Brown's new single "Look At Me Now" featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes, who slaughters his verse, debuts at #11. Congratulations to all.
