Rihanna and Foo Fighters Have Something In Common

They are both #1 on a Billboard chart this week. The Foo Fighters have their first #1 album, on the Billboard Hot 200, with the debut of their latest Wasting Light. This is a bit surprising considering their popularity, but not so surprising because many popular acts have gone decades without a number one album or single. Other notable debuts are Paul Simon at #4, he hasn't had a number one album, with So Beautiful Or So What. And Jessie J at #11 with Who You Are; a little disappointing, but America hasn't really had the chance to get to know her yet.

On the Hot 100, Rihanna breaks two records as "S&M" claims the #1 spot. She is the youngest person to have ten number one singles on the Hot 100, and she did it in record time for a solo artist. I honestly didn't think Rihanna would have lasted this long, let alone break records. Other than that, Lady Gaga's "Judas" debuts at #10, and the rest of the chart has little significant movement. I'm still waiting for Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" to reach #1, I give it another month and a half if it happens.
