Album Review - Pitbull 'Planet Pit'

photosource: music.aol.com
Quite the chameleon Pitbull seems to always be adapting to the current trend of music, but always putting his flavor on it. Which is what his does on his new effort, Pit Planet; an album of dance-club tracks that mostly leave me wanting more Reggaeton and less glow sticks. The tracks that do stand out are the ones they chose to be singles, "Give Me Everything" and "Hey Baby." Along with those, "Something for the DJs" and "Come 'N' Go" have something a little extra or different from the rest of the tracks. The rest of the tracks are just more of the same club fair being pumped out by everyone. Overall, the album is okay, I wish their were more standout tracks though. You can read my track by track notes after the jump.

Mr. Wonderful (Intro) - useless
Give Me Everything - great dance track, gets the crowds going in the club
Rain Over Me - another dance track, not as good as Give Me Everything or Hey Baby
Hey Baby(Drop it to the Floor) - a dance track with enough pop to get the crowd sweating from all the moving; Neyo is a nice feature.
Pause - decent
Come 'N' Go - the chorus stands out on the track, the verses are fairly simple, beat is nice, can see them doing a dance to this on So You Think You Can Dance.
Shake Senora - another decent track
International Love - Chris Brown doesn't add anything to save this track.
Castle Made of Sand - This track is being called his "Love the Way You Lie," with Kelly Rowland in the Rihanna role. I can definitely hear similarities. Like the rest of the album it is okay, but it isn't quite hot.
Took My Love - I like the 808 when it comes in.
Where Do We Go - a little bit better than the others
Something for the DJs - Saved the best for last. Of course its a David Guetta. A high energy, B-more type, house/dance track. Another track I can see on So You Think You Can Dance.
Sorry for the lack of detail, haha.
